In Galveston Style … “made on the island, for the island”

Galveston Wood Windows
is an extension of Charon Restoration Company who have been restoring structures in the Historic East End neighborhood of Galveston Island, Texas since 1991.  In our years of restoration experience there has been a lack of local providers of quality made, historically correct wood windows, sashes and moldings.  Seeing a need for these services, Galveston Wood Windows was started to contribute toward the efforts of all those who love and care for Galveston’s historic treasures.  Galveston is a jewel, rich in history.  Our vision is to help beautify Galveston through excellence in restoration for the preservation of our beloved historic homes and buildings.

If you can’t find it at Galveston Historic Foundation’s Salvage Warehouse,
Let us make you just what you need.

In addition to serving our clients with their home restoration projects, we are currently restoring a circa 1925 Chapel and its adjoining 1894 building (the original church) in Galveston’s Historic East End neighborhood.  Upon finding this Galveston church abandoned in a sad state of disrepair, we began a journey to restore its sacred beauty and return it to our community.  In the aftermath Hurricane Ike (September 12, 2008) the buildings were used for 2 years to house thousands of volunteers who came to help rebuild the lives of island Residents.  Currently it is active and filled with the worship, prayers, weddings and funerals of our people.  It has been featured on Galveston’s Sacred Places Tour several times since its restoration, most recently in August 2016.
